WInging It
NEW RELEASE
They look so small, till they're not. They are so cute, till they aren't. They are nature's perfect predator. This burrowing owl is on its way to find dinner and boy am I glad I'm not a rodent or other small creature. Bon Appetit my friend.

It's Fly Season Again...
NEW RELEASE
The magnificence of the contradiction seemed almost comical. One of the largest animals on our planet being swarmed by hundreds of the smallest. I wondered how he tolerated it. I'm sure it doesn't happen year round, but for now, it's fly season again....

Where I End You Begin
OPEN EDITION
It was an overcast morning with very little contrast in the scene. Except of course, for the outstanding colors of the Redish Egrets as they began their mating dance. The tenderness and simplicity of the moment was surreal and breathtaking. Normally these birds are very animated, their antics often coveted by photographers, but this moment was nothing short of mesmerizing. I hoped it would never end.

Back it Up Buttercup
LIMITED EDITION
Owls often look angry, but this one takes the cake. Those eyes just drill right through you. As an awarded image for me, it will always be a personal favorite. I just love the look, I just wish is wasn't directed at me...

Yosemite Awakens
LIMITED EDITION
This morning was perfect. I could have sworn I was looking at a painting. My first visit to Yosemite Valley and I was lucky enough to see and capture this. You can just get lost in its beauty. Thank you Mother Nature. Thank you.

Crosswinds
LIMITED EDITION
The river was bustling with activity that morning. The winds were blowing when I happened to see this eagle coming in for a landing out of the corner of my eye. I turned quickly and got a few quick images before the touchdown. Feathers flying, talons extended and a brisk wind make for a dramatic moment. Nothing but awesome.

Stealth Mode
OPEN EDITION
Owls are magnificent. They have huge wingspans and yet can fly silently. This is because the shape of their wings allows them to break up turbulent air and absorb sound. An unsuspecting rodent, bird or insect has no chance. I photographed this owl in South Florida at the very end of the day just as the sun went down. Already in "Stealth Mode" I'm sure this owl has its sights on dinner. Mother Nature takes no prisoners.

The Home Stretch
NEW RELEASE
The Osprey is one of the most striking birds of prey you will come across. The "mask" of dark feathers framing their face makes them immediately recognizable. On the waters of Lake Okeechobee in central Florida, the final stretch to land on this small branch on the treetops was a joy to witness. "The Home Stretch" as it were. And yes, the landing was perfect.

Sibling Rivalry
OPEN EDITION
My oh my, these two burrowing owls certainly put on a show. As the light was fading and I was just about to call it quits, they flew up and over my head. They tussled and before I knew it swooped back down into their protective den. It only took seconds, but a show I will remember for the rest of my life. Bravo!!

Last Light
OPEN EDITION
The lioness. Ferociously protective and equally powerful. She runs the show. She hunts, manages the child rearing and without a doubt is the core strength of the pride. She is also a gorgeous feline that embodies beauty and strength. I hope that "Last Light" conveys all of those attributes. A beautiful portrait for an exquisite creature.

The Eagle has Landed
OPEN EDITION
This Alaskan Bald Eagle swooped down and extended those massive wings, using them as air brakes to stop its forward motion to land softly on the rock. Balance, grace and power all at the same time. I am always amazed by them.

Shades of Grey
LIMITED EDITION
A grey sunrise at the dunes can make for some very delightful scenery. It's a surreal view that seems to never end. The lack of color is what makes this image so interesting. "Shades of Grey" certainly made my day.

Paint Me Like One Of Your French Girls
OPEN EDITION
Animals have personalities. For those that are pet owners you know what I'm talking about. Wild animals too, have their moments. Apparently, this horse was enjoying the afternoon and posed for me. The smile, the position, and the demeanor melted my heart. My son said it reminded him of the moment in the movie The Titanic when Rose was posing for Jack and said: "Paint me like one of your French Girls." Works for me.

Snowy Organs
OPEN EDITION
The Organ mountains are nothing short of stunning. Their dramatic peaks reaching over 9,000 ft above sea level. They look even more breathtaking with a dusting of snow and some ominous clouds. Worthy of one of the most famous films in history, The Wizard of Oz. Your trivia for the day.

High Stepping It
NEW RELEASE
Fast, furious and adorable. The Gambel's Quail is the darling of the southwest. This one was "High Stepping It" as fast as it possibly could. Naming it was pretty easy. Keeping up with it, not so much...

Alpha Challenge
LIMITED EDITION
How many ways can I describe how "Alpha Challenge" moves me. A momentary battle lasting just a few seconds but the power of it lasts a lifetime. It literally took me years to bring out the strength and intensity of the moment. A very special image for me as it was internationally awarded. I'm so thankful I too was up for the challenge.

The Pier
LIMITED EDITION
Sunset at the beach. Many dream about it. There's something magical about staring down the leading lines of "The Pier" as it leads you to infinity. Enjoy the journey.

Grace In Motion
OPEN EDITION
The White Egret. Such a exquisite bird. They move with such fluidity and power. A few wing flaps and they are gone from sight. This was taken as the sun was setting along a canal. She few right in front of me as silent as can be and then she was gone. I call her Grace in Motion because of the elegance in which she moves. This one is very special to me as she is my first internationally awarded image. Thank you Grace, for gracing me with your presence.

Wingman
NEW RELEASE
Pelicans are so intriguing. They have such a prehistoric look to them as the glide and bank over their hunting waters. I saw this one positioning itself to dive. Seconds later it was in the water hoping to grab some breakfast. With that wingspread, "Wingman" seemed the perfect title.

Majestic Gaze
LIMITED EDITION
Up close and personal. Very personal. This image is probably my most beloved image. It's hanging in my home and Its appeal and intrigue never gets old. Her intensity touches my soul. Enjoy the moment with me and embrace her "Magestic Gaze."

There's Always One...
OPEN EDITION
On a still morning on the West coast of Florida, this splendid and yet amusing scene presented itself. There they were, a large flock of White Pelicans enjoying the morning sun and in the distance a loner sitting on the still water. My mind wondered why was he out there all by himself...? was he somehow ostracized from the group? Was he injured? Or was he just that one that had to be different. I'm going with that.

About to Pick Up Dinner
LIMITED EDITION
Such exciting things can happen at the end of the day. This stunning eagle left her perch with her eyes clearly glued to something beneath her. The sun was setting, she was hungry and clearly "about to pick up dinner."

Fabulous Feathers
NEW RELEASE
A flock of Flamingos in Florida recently decided to spread their wings and relocate. They are such mesmerizing birds with their long necks and stunning feathers. I never tire of photographing their fabulousness.

Charge!
OPEN EDITION
Not many good things usually come to pass when a grizzly bear charges. We were lucky though. He wasn't actually charging at us, but chasing another male out of his territory. However, he came way too close for comfort on this day. After chasing off the other bear, he stood on his hind legs about 20 feet away and scratched his back on a tree, marking his territory. Then, he sauntered off to eat more grass in the fields. Exhilarating, yes. Terrifying, yes. Glad to be alive, yes.

Glorious
LIMITED EDITION
An epic day on the water. Certainly a day I won't soon forget. When an animal the size of your house leaps from the water and lands near your boat, suddenly time moves in slow motion. All of my senses were on full alert, the smell of the ocean, seeing a breaching whale, freezing cold temperatures, hearing the spash and tasting the salt water as it rained down on us. I highly recommend it. It was nothing short of "Glorious."

Solitude
NEW RELEASE
Alaskan waters are filled with wonderful opportunities for photography. Amazing wildlife and landscapes surround you. However, this was different. I turned to see that this canoe had floated out onto the motionless blue waters of the lake. Breathtaking. A perfect moment of "Solitude."

Spoonbill Sweetness
NEW RELEASE
The Rosetta Spoonbill. A stunning specimen who's pink and rose colored feathers make her easily recognizable. A coveted species for photographers and birders alike. This image, taken on the west coast of Florida, exemplifies her beauty against the distinctly contrasted blue water. Sweet.

Strong Like Bull
OPEN EDITION
In the depths of the Florida ranchlands, I came across a small herd of cows. This bull stood out to me as he watched over the herd. His outstanding markings and huge body are quite impressive. "Strong Like Bull" is the real deal.

The King
OPEN EDITION
I've always wanted to create an image of a male lion that embodies the power and stunning subtleties of his being. With perfect lighting and a perfect pose it all came together. Nothing less would be acceptable for "The King."

Power Walking
NEW RELEASE
The Ptarmigan. A chameleon of sorts as its feathers change from white in the winter to brown in the summer. A cute little creature with very feathery feet. Quite a distinct feature for an avian species. This particular one was on the move one early morning in northern Canada. "Powerwalking" seemed an apropos title. Those feet just make me smile.

Sharing is Caring
OPEN EDITION
Watching a mama bear fish for salmon, tear its head off, eat it, and allow her cubs to finish off the rest of the fish is mesmerizing. Again and again and again. Over and over and over. Such sweet and nurturing behaviors. Good job mom. Sharing is Caring.

Morning Discussion
LIMITED EDITION
Bears. One second they are sleeping on the beach as the sun rises and the next they are fighting. They'll turn in a second and won't ask for an apology. To see that energy and ferociousness unleashed before you in the blink of an eye is incredible. Never think your safe around them. Enjoy them from afar.

Dust Bath
NEW RELEASE
Horses are such beautiful animals. Their strength and might is undeniable. But, with that, they can also be hypnotic and beautiful, as in this moment. After enjoying a "Dust Bath", this male stood and shook creating an eerie dust cloud around him. Undeniably mesmerizing.

Polar Paws
LIMITED EDITION
Polar Bears are huge. Especially their paws. I wanted to accentuate and focus on that fact. We tend to associate an animal's size by the size of their paws. Every inch of those massive paws are made for one thing. Survival. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

0% Chance of Rain They Said...
LIMITED EDITION
Don't you just love the weatherman? Clear skies projected and then this...You can feel the anger. I can just see a bubble text of four letter words above its head. Getting caught in an afternoon rain that wasn't supposed to happen. I know exactly how you feel my friend...

Time's Lines
NEW RELEASE
As I hiked further and further, the environment slowly revealed the enormity and isolation of my surroundings. Eventually I found myself staring into the past, present and probably future all at once. This is named "Time's Lines" to quantify the moment. It likely looked like this way a hundred years ago and will likely look like this a hundred years from now. Only time knows or sure.

Screaming Eagle
LIMITED EDITION
The iconic bald eagle. This female rules her territory voraciously. She flies with conviction and purpose all the while vocalizing to the world to beware. Nothing like a screaming eagle. You go girl.

Staredown
OPEN EDITION
The Burrowing Owl. A tiny but mighty bird of prey who's eyes captivate and who's personality pleases. I found myself in front of a nest at the end of the day and in a split second, this beauty rose up from the nest, hovered above me to check me out and then just as quickly descended back down to safety. The whole encounter was only seconds. But it left me with an awesome memory of a curious owl and an amazing image to enjoy and share with the world. I call it "Staredown" because we locked eyes, quite intensely, and quite purposfully. A moment, for sure, I will never forget.
