This bridge connected the mainland of Florida to the Florida Keys in 1938 after a hurricane destroyed the first railroad bridge in 1935. She was replaced in the 1980's with the current Seven Mile Bridge that runs parallel to her. She is a wonderful piece of Florida history to behold as she extends and fades into the sea.
